SYLHET, Sept S ; Flag meeting between BDRand Indian border force BSF was held at Sutarkandi check post in the district on September 1.

In the meeting, BSF members in principle agreed that, they would create trouble no more in the cultivation of the 137 acres of land at Saropar under Beanibazar thana bordering India. BDR sources said.

Besides, Both the parties agreed that in future any border related dispute would be resolved through discussion.

Lieutenant Colonel Delwar Hossain, Commander of 20 Battalion of BDR. Sylhet. led the 3-man Bangladesh team while BD Prajapati, Commander of the 99 Battalion of BSF, led the In-' dian side.

BDR strongly protested August 19 incident. On the day BSF men along with about 50 Indian civilians intruded into the Bangladesh territory and swooped on a Bangladeshi farmer who was working in crop field.

The BSF also took away four BDRJawans, who were released after 10 hours, resulting in a three-hour gunfight between the two forces.
