SYLHET, Aug 7: Speaker Humayun Rasheed Chowdhury said the government was quite aware of the rights and demands of working people, reports BSS.

Addressing a function, organised by the CBA of Sylhet Textiles Mills, as the chief guest yesterday evening, the Speaker said the government was taking all possible measures for the welfare of peasants, workers and other professionals.

He said necessary steps would be taken so that no worker or staff of the mills was thrown out of job. He assured that the handing over process of the mills would be stopped and power connection would be restored within a day or two.
