Indian High Commission to Bangladesh yesterday refuted the reports relating to Ashok Leyland trucks as ’’misleading statements" and said "the Indian Army has over 3000 trucks in its inventory and has placed an order for 2000 more." reports BSS.

In a press release, the Indian Deputy High Commissioner said, these trucks are being used in the Kargil operations and the formidable terrain in that area is known to all.”

’The Ashok Leyland trucks on offer to Bangladesh Army are upgraded versions of those being used by the Indian Army,’ the release added.
