Intelligence andTnvesti-'gation Zone and 4 others relating to an income tax certificate case against Dr Moosa Bin Shamsher. purported to have been filed for realisation of taxes, with mostly 100 per cent penalties amounting to Tk 4.42,10,729, says a press release.

A Division Bench of the High Court of the Supreme Court comprising Justice K M Hasan and Justice M Abdul Quddus, issued the rule on a writ petition filed by Dr Moosa Bin Shamsher, Director (Chairman) DATCO. upon the Commissioner of Taxes. Intelligence and Investigation Zone • and 4 others including the Special Magistrate (Taxes) and Magistrate First Class, Dhaka, to show cause why the proceedings as drawn in the Income Tax Case No 26/99 under Section 12A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 1984 and the Certificate Notice thereof now lying pending before the Special Magistrate (Taxes) and Magistrate First Class, Dhaka against Dr Moosa. should not be declared illegal and to have been made without any lawful authority.
