A week-long solo painting exhibition of Minakshi De began at the Divine Art Gallery of the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel Friday afternoon.

Noted artist Rafiqun Nabi, Professor of Fine Art Institute. Dhaka University, inaugurated the exhibition. Country Delegate of Terre des Hommes Foundation Geoffrey Cordell spoke on the function as special guest.

Speaking on the occasion. Prof Rafiqun Nabi lauded the works of Minakshi De and said she is undoubtedly a very good artist. The paintings being displayed at the exhibition are very polished and life of women were given priority in her work, he added.

Geoffrey Cordell in his speech highly praised the art and culture of Bangladesh and said art works is also part of national development. He said Minakshi in her paintings upheld the positive aspects of Bangladesh's socletv.
