CHITTAGONG. May 4: The much needed Sangu Bridge at Tailardlp-Chandpur ferry ghat on Chittagong-Banskhali road will be constructed at a cost of Taka 21,48.93,295, an official source said here today, reports BSS.

Roads and Highway Department has already floated tender for the bridge. When constructed the bridge will ease road communications between the port city and Banskhali besides linking Chakaria, Kutub-dia and Moneshkhali of Cox's Bazar district and Satkania and Lohagara of Chittagong district.

The source said that the distance between Cox's Bazar and Chittagong City will be shortened by about 40 miles after the construction of the bridge. The construction work of the Bridge will be completed in three years.
