Trinidad. Mar 2: Australian legspinner Stuart MacGill captured career-best figures of seven for 29 to propel the tourists to victory by an innings and six runs over the West Indies President's XI Monday, reports AP.

The win came halfway through the third day of a four-day cricket tour match at Guaracara Park,

The 28-year-old MacGill, who destroyed the home team’s first innings with six for 45. completed match figures of 13 wickets for 74 runs.

The President's XI, who made 177 on the first day, were bowled out for 185 in their second innings after resuming,on 33 without loss. Australia took a first innings lead of 191 Sunday by totalling 368.

The West Indies started the day positively with the Trinidadian opening pair of SUruj Ragoonath and Daren Ganga stretching their overnight partnership to 99. But when Ragoonath was dismissed for the topscore of 53, the innings folded rapidly.

Ragoonath, who was miss-lumped by Healy off Shane Warne when 49. went to his half century off 89 balls with eight boundaries. But Healy made amends soon afterwards, completing a stumping off MacGill io remove the 30-year-old.

When Ganga and fellow young Trinidadians Lincoln Roberts and Denis Rampersad fell in quick succession, four wickets had crumbled for the addition of just three runs.

Ganga was caught by Australia's century-maker of the clay before. Mark Waugh, and Roberts was another stumping victim, both off MacGill. Rampersad provided Wame with his first wicket. Ganga made 29 but Roberts and Rampersad both failed to score.

Dave Joseph and captain Keith Arthurton counter-attacked and saw the home team to 126 for four by the lunch interval.

The revival was brief. Joseph was Healy's third stumping victim on MacGill and the lower order showed little resistance.

Wicketkeeper Wayne Phillip was leg before wicket to Warne before Raw] Lewis and Reon ,-King fell to MacGill for "ducks.’’

Arthurton arid last man Marion Black threatened to force' Australia to bat again. But after adding 24. the third highest stand of the innings. Arthurton edged a cut at MacGill into Healy's gloves to end the innings and the match with over a session and a day to spare.

MacGill, from New South Wales, bettered his previous best first-class haul of seven for 50 against England in the fifth and final Test of the Ashes series against England in Sydney in January.

Vice-captain Warne again played second fiddle to MacGill. taking three for 82 off 20 overs. Both wrist spinners are now expected to play in first Cable and Wireless Test of the four-match series, which begins at the Queen's Park Ova! in Port-of-Spain on Friday.
