The sixth meeting of the Board of Governors of Private EPZ was held at the Prime Minister's office with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, says BSS.

The meeting was apprised of the progress and situation of the proposed Korean private EPZ in Chittagong.

Sheikh Hasina stressed the need for setting up industrial park in the country particularly in the northern region. She said there is ample opportunity to set up Industries in the northern region in the back-drop of the commissioning of the Bangabandhu Bridge'.

The Prime Minister opined that the industrial park in the region would not only attract foreign investors, but also local entrepreneurs.
