Bangladesh Road Transport Authority said yesterday that its Aew rule requiring all types of motor vehicles to display tax. fitness and route permit labels on windshields are applicable only to those vehicles which would take or renew their tax tokens, fitness certificates and route permits after January 4.

Clarifying what it said confusion in this regard. A BRTA press release said it is not mandatory for those vehicles to display labels whose tax tokens, fitness certificates and route permits were obtained before January 4.

The vehicles including those of the government that receive free tax tokens will also have to pay Tk 40 for the stickers.
