BNP has strongly opposed the Dhaka-Calcutta bus service proposed to start early next year, reports UNB.

Speaking at an Iftar party yesterday, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia accused the government of hatching conspiracy to destroy the country's economy by allowing movement of bus service Detween Dhaka and Calcutta.

'The domestic market is already flooded with Indian goods without direct bus service between the two countries. If the transport service started, people will tend to go for shopping in Calcutta," she said.

The BNP chief said the government has resorted to antipeople and anti-state activities to serve the purpose of its alien masters.
