Education Minister A S H K Sadique yesterday urged the Opposition to withdraw tomorrow's hartal in the interest of the students who are taking preparations for different examinations. reports BSS.

In a statement, the Education Minister condemned the Opposition for being unkind to the 70 thousand BA and Honours examinees. He said the Junior Scholarship examinations across the country was also scheduled on that day.

The Education Minister said the annual examinations in different institutions have not completed vet and the relatives of the leaders and activists of the Opposition would also be affected by this programme.

Meanwhile. Bangladesh Federation of Teachers Association (BFTA) and Bangladesh Shikkhak Samlty also urged the opposition to withdraw Sunday s hartal call.

Bangladesh Shikkhak Samity said the Opposition should consider the fact that hundreds of students across the country are participating in the annual examinations.

BFTA said the Opposition should withdraw their hartal programme in view of BA examinations and Junior Scholarship examinations across the country.
