The annual conference and election of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) will be held on April 9 and 10. a DUJ press release said yesterday, reports BSS.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the DUJ executive committee held yesterday at the Jatiya Press Club with Its acting president Suva Rahman in the chair.

The meeting asked the chiefs of its all units to send the up-to- ' date members’ list of their respective unit* as wel) as to elect the councillors for participating in the forthcoming BFTJJ council session and biennial election to be held on January 30 and February 13 respectively.

The lists of members as well as councillors must reach the general secretary or the treasurer of DUJ by December 24.

The next meeting of the DUJ executive committee will be held at the Jatiya Press Club on December 24.

Meanwhile, the members belonging to the direct unit have been requested to update their membership by December 24. All have been asked to commu nicate with the General Secretary or the office secretary and treasurer for taking part in the BFUJ polls as well as for election of the councillors.
