GOPALGANJ. Nov 10:Prices of essentials have shot up owing to the recent devastating flood in the district causing much trouble to the poor people, reports UNB.

Rice and flour are selling relatively at higher prices. Presently, coarse rice is selling at Tk 15 while fine variety between Tk 20 and Tk 22 per kg. People are buying flour between Tk 14 and Tk 15 per kg.

Mustard and soyabean oils are available between Tk 57 and Tk 62 per litre, locally produced onion at Tk 38 ana Indian onion at Tk 38/40 per kg in the market.
