Foreign Secretary Musta-fizur Rahman Monday urged the Commonwealth states to reject requests of political asylum by those who were involved in the assassination of father of the nation Banga-bandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and members .of his family. a message received in the city, from London said, reports BSS.

The Foreign Secretary while leading Bangladesh delegation to the senior officials' meeting in London said. "The terrorists should not be allowed to escape the due process of law and a fair trial by finding asylum in foreign countries, including Commonwealth member states.'"

He informed the representatives of the member (Commonwealth) states that these terrorists should be handed over to the Bangladesh authorities so that they could undergo the Judicial process.

The government will make all-out efforts to bring back convicts, a senior official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka Monday.

A total ofT5 former army officials were sentenced to death but only three of them were present in the dock when the judge read out the verdict Sunday.
