GENEVA. Sept 8: The group of OIC ambassadors in Geneva meeting this week expressed their sympathy and solidarity with the government and people of Bangladesh in view of the current devastating floods, reports BSS.

This was announced on behalf of the group by its Chairman. Ambassador Sheikh Fahad al Thani of Qatar.

The Bangladesh Ambassador in Geneva. Dr Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, briefed the OIC ambassadors in Geneva on the latest flood situation.

It was decided that the ambassadors would report to their governments recommending assistance.
