East West University held an orientation yesterday for its new students, says a press release.

New students were told about all the faculties and opportunities in East West University.

Vice Chancellor Dr Mohammad Farashuddin exhorted the new students to work hard to build their character and personality for taking up the challenge of leadership in human resource positions in various sectors of the country.

The function was also addressed by Dean Sultan Ahmad. Registrar AKM Mokbul Islam. Proctor Dr Manzur Alam, several faculty members including Prof Zubair Syed. Dr Asaduz-zaman, Prof Asit Roy Chowdhury. Lecturer Ruksana Kur-shid. an old student and an incoming student. Raqibuddin Chowdhury of English Department conducted the programme.

The classes of the university will start on September 14. the release added.
