KAPTAI (Rangamati), Aug 7: The security personnel recovered about 1,500 cubic feet of costly teak worth about Taka eight lakh from Kaptai lake area yesterday and seized six motorboats in this connection, officials said, reports BSS.

The timber recovered was reportedly extracted illegally from the government reserved forests and in a bid to smuggle it out through Kaptai lake, the sources said.
