For all that is said or written about the essence of our existence it is probably man’s destiny to lose love for his fellow man. The pressure of population, unqualified devotion to materialism and many other factors are responsible for it. It is one frightening realisation that haasJjeen haunting man for a long time now. Creative writers have waxed in imagination suggesting that doomsday fire that scriptures almost unanimously speak of Is actually the fire of hatred of man'for his fellow man. Fortunately for us some individuals or or-ganisatlons like tiny islands of love in a seiof ate and indifference around us, always come7to make light of that morbid dread. Light of love still flickers through much to our assurance. \

Members of Abol Tabol, a Juvenile organisation of Rajbarl have recently done something that offers a whiff of fresh and Inspiring air in a stifling atmosphere. The youngsters of this unknown organisation have decided to donate blood regularly to keep Champa, one of their peers, alive. Champa, daughter of a poor farmer is suffering from blood cancer, a fatal terminal disease. We don’t know how long this supply for blood transfusion can be kept up but the resolve of these young hearts is something so compassinate and wonderful. At a time when acrimony has coloured our imagination so much so that nothing and nobody seems to remain sacred the news from Rajbarl is a revelation of sorts. We would urge different social welfare organisations to stand beside this little group with a great mission. Contrary to the meaning of its name in Bangla which means nonsense, Abol Tabol has taken a step in the right direction. We congratulate It and look for emulation of Its feat In other areas of our life. Society would infinitely be more livable for that.
