Bangladesh Inter University Officers^ Federation (BIUOF) began a 12-day strike in all the universities of the country from Sunday to release their four-point charter of demands, says a press release.

The demands include revision of pay scale, ensuring officers' representations in different bodies of the universities, including Senate and Syndicate, stepping deduction of 20 per cent from the officers' pension money and raising their retirement age from 60 to 65.
