Police realised Tk 45,975 from the violators of traffic rules on the second day of the ongoing Traffic Consciousness Week-1998 yesterday, says a press release.

A total of 1605 cases have also been lodged against the violators of traffic rules under the Traffic Ordinance of 1983 while two vehicles have been sent to thanas for different traffic offences, the press release said.

Meanwhile, different important points of the city have Seen decorated with banner, placard and posters and measures have been taken to enforce traffic rules.

Several other measures have also been taken to help create traffic consciousness, the press release added.
