Polls bear out the notion

that Americans don't have much stomach for investigating the president's personal conduct.

A USA Today-CNN-Gallup poll conducted after the Jones case was dismissed on Wednesday found that 63 per cent of Americans thought federal Judge Susan Webber Wright did the right thing in throwing out the case while 25 per cent thought she made the wrong call. Furthermore. 67 per cent said they want an end to all investigations into sexual allegations against the president.

"It's time to get back to the business of taking care of what we need to take care of in this country." said Dean Davis, who works at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona.

Still, there are other Americans who think there are legal questions yet to be asked and answered about the president's conduct.
