Reigning champions Mohammedan Sporting Club will take on arch-rivals Abahani Krira Chakra in a crucial Premier Division football super league clash at the Mirpur Stadium today.

The Dhaka derby between the two traditional and popular crowd pullers will kick off at 5 pm.

A victory in today’s match will not be enough for Mohammedans as they will also have to draw, minimum, with title aspirants Muktijoddha Sangsad in their last match to retain the league title. On the other hand, the task is a bit more critical for Abahani as mere two wins from their remaining two matches will not suffice for them to win the league title. They will also have to wait for a draw from the Mo-hammedan-Muktljoddha encounter.

Mohammedans are leading five-team super league table with 47 points from 20 matches while Muktis are trailing the black and whites by one point on completion of 20 matches.

Abahani are In the third place with 43 points from 20 outings.

Both Mohammedans and Abahani had light practice sessions yesterday afternoon prior to their today's match. Mohammedans trained at the Army Stadium while Abahani made their final warm-up at their home ground in Dnan-mondi.

Mohammedans will miss the services of Bode Baba today, one of their two Nigerian recruits. on disciplinary grounds. The other Nigerian Ladi Baba, who went through a two match suspension for receiving a red earn, will be back to pack.

On the other hand. Abahani will field the same eleven they fielded against Brothers Union last week.

Meanwhile. Indian referees Kashinath Bain and Nirmal Chitia, arrived in the city last night to conduct the remaining matches of the Premier and First Division leagues.
