least 50 passengers sustained injures, 10 of them critically when two trains collided head-on at Kamarpara Railway Station on January 26.

According to Railway source. Lalmonirhat bound Padmarag Express train was proceeding toward Kamarpara from Gaibandha at about 10-30 am.

At that time one goods Train was engaged in shunting on main track. Loco master of Padmarag train Abdur Rahim run the train toward station avoiding signal barrier. The train, however, entered the same track where the goods train was standing.

The locomotive power of Padmarage dashed the goods train head-on with a bang. Due to Impact of the collision 50 passengers of Padmarag sustained injuries. 10 of them got bone fracture while jumped from the train. Front part of both the locomotives partially damaged. Train communication in this section was affected for several hours.
