Foreign Minister Abdus Samad Azad yesterday underscored the need for forming book clubs in every nook and corner of the country for spreading education and making the movement of reading books a success, reports BSS.

Inaugurating as the chief guest the programmes of "Book Day," organised by Bangladesh Book Club at Central Shaheed Minar in the city, the minister said worthy anti competent persons could be created in every field of society provided the people could be made book-oriented.

Later, a rally, led by the minister. was brought out from the Shaheed Minar and terminated at the National Press Club after parading the city streets.
