Bakhrabad Gas Systems Limited (BGSL) earned a profit of Tk 22.57 million last fiscal year. This was disclosed at the 17th annual general meeting held on Tuesday, says a press release.

During '96-97. the company earned a revenue of Tk 2622.30 million by selling 43.686 million cubic feet of gas and contributed Tk 913.556 million to the national exchequer.

The company constructed a total of 132.60 kilometres of network pipeline against the target of 102 kilometers and its gas connection numbered 16284 as against 10729 which is 52 per cent higher than the target

Besides. BGSL has also constructed 202.93 kilometres pipeline under the Third Natural Gas Development Project against the target of 190 kilometres in the 1996-97 fiscal year.
