A public hearing1 on the incidents of rape and killing by the Pakistani occupation forces, Razakars. Al-Badrs and Al-Shams during the Liberation War will be held at the bakult-ala' of the Fine Arts Institute of Dhaka University today in observance of the Victory Day.

Organised by Sammilito Nari Samaj. the ’public hearing' will begin at 7:30 pm.

Meanwhile, as the Victory Day approaches, the capital city is taking a festive mood with more and more socio-cultural and political organisations organising various programmes.

Special programmes for children will be organised by the Joy Bangla Sangskritik Oikya Jote on the occasion. A gathering of children will be held on the premises of the Shikha Chirantan at 3 pm on December 13.

A discussion meeting for children will be held on the same day at 4 pm at the Ramna Batamul.

Naripakkha. a womens' organisation. organised a Candle Light programme at the Central Shahid Minar yesterday evening.

People in general and specially many of those who had lost their dear ones in the Liberation War gathered at the foot of the Shaheed Minar and described horrific incidents of killing by the Pakistani occupation forces. Many came form different parts of the couptry.
