MAGURA. Nov 10: Elections in 7 union parishads (UPs) of Shalikha thana in Magura district will be held on December 1 and December 3. according to official sources.

It has been learnt that elections in three union parishads like Dhaneshawargati, Talkharl and Arapara will be held on December 1. Elections in Shatokhali, Shalikha, Bunagati and Gangarampur

will be held on December 3. Number of voters in aforesaid 7 union parishads arc 71,422. Out of them, there are 10,735 voters In Dhaneshawargati UP. 15,604 voters in Talkharl UP, 10,294 voters in Arapara UP, 11,765 voters in Satokhall UP. 6872 voters in Shalikha UP. 7,111 voters in Bunagati UP. and 9,042 voters in Gangarampur

Every voter will give three

votes. One for chairman candidate one for female member candidate and one for ward member candidate.

Every union parishad is divided into 9 wards. One member will be elected in each ward. 3 female members will be elected in every UP by direct votes of voters of the respective ward. Every union parishad is also divided into 3 wards for electing female members.
