BNP Chairperson and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Begum Khaleda Zia will address a public meeting at Chittagong Outer Stadium this afternoon, reports UNB.

The meeting has been organised by the Combined Opposition Parties on Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT). Chittagong city BNP convenor Mir Nasiruddin will preside. Opposition parties in the port city of Chittagong have recently formed an alliance centring the proposed 'peace agreement on CHT.'

Parties which formed the alliance on the singular issue, are BNP. Jamaat-e-Tslaml, Democratic League (DL). Nationalist Democratic Alliance (NDA). Is-laml Oikyo Jote (IOJ). Jatiya Party (Z-M), Jatiya Ganotantrik Party (Jagpa) and Progressive Nationalist Party (PNP).

Besides Begum Zta. the meeting will also be addressed by Jamaat secretary general Ma-tiur Rahman Nizami, DL president Oli Ahad. NDA chairman ASM Solalman. IOJ vice chairman Moulana Muhiuddin Khan. Jatiya Party co-chairman Kazi Zafar Ahmed. Jagpa president Shafiui Alam Prodhan and PNP president Shawkat Hossain Nilu.
