A mtlad mahfil was organised at the Awami League central office yesterday to pray for the early recovery of eminent scientist Dr MA Wazed Mia and good health of Dhaka City Mayor Mohammad Hanif.

Dhaka city unit of AL held the milad after Asr prayers, says a press release. City AL general secretary Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury and other leaders and activists were present.

Wazed Mia. husband of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. who has been suffering from serious gastric problem, is now under treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka while Mayor and city AL president Hanif is in Saudi Arabia for a medical check-up.
