KHULNA, Aug 7: Khulna University Vice Chancellor Prof Golam Ali Fakir has turned down the allegations brought by the university teachers against him and termed Wednesday s incident of sealing his office as unbecoming. reports UNB.

Addressing a press conference at his residence, the VC said he had already fulfilled most of the 15-point demand of the teachers, who have been agitating demanding his removal.

The teachers have accused the VC of tarnishing the image of the university and their reputation by divulging misleading information to the local press.

"I have accepted most of their demands and some others will be met soon, but their behaviour with me at the end of my tenure is really tragic," the VC told the newsmen.

Refuting the allegations that he was trying to create a rift among the university teachers. Prof Fakir said he had informed the Prime Minister and the President about the prevailing campus situation and desired to go back to the Agricultural University upon completion of his tenure on August 16.
