Forty-five boys and girls won their respective board as the remaining 52 first round matches of the 12th Bata schools chess tournament were held at the NSC chess room yesterday. The other seven matches of the day ended in dull draws.

The second round for the losers of the first round will begin this morning at 10 am while the winners and others who have drawn their first round matches will engage in the second round from 3 pm this afternoon.
