Prime Minister Sheikh Ha-sina returned home last night concluding a six-day official visit to Japan, reports UNB.

A Biman WIP aircraft carrying the Prime Minister touched down tarmac of the Zia International Airport at the stroke of midnight.

During her visit to Japan, the Prime Minister had an audience with Japanese Emperor Akihito. She also had talks with her Japanese counterpart Ryutaro Hashimoto, World Bank Vice President Mieko Nishimiju and a number of business leaders.

Hasina presented a key-note paper at the opening session of an investment conference organised by Japan Chamber. JBCCEC. World Bank and Bangladesh Mission.

Her visit was featured by signing of four agreements, one on investment protection and promotion and three on providing financial assistance for three vital infrastructural development projects of Bangladesh.

In Tokyo. Hasina attended a reception hosted by Japan-Bangladesh Parliamentary League and Japan-Bangladesh Association.

She also addressed a round table conference, organised by Keidanren, the apex body of Japanese industrial giants and business magnates.

During the visit, the Bangladesh Prime Minister was conferred an honorary Doctorate of Law by Waseda University of Japan.

Hasina also visited Niigata by train to see water division memorial hall. Higasi sea port and Kyoto city, the ancient capital of Japan.
