The touring BCB Eleven suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in the Wills Cup cricket champi

onship when Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan (ADBP) handed them an eightwicket thrashing at the Karachi National Stadium yesterday.

In a high-scoring affair. BCB. sent into bat in the morning. scored 213 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Opener Shahriar Hossain Biddyut, who was going through a lean patch throughout the season, scored a welcome half-century. The stockily-built right nander hammered a polished 76 off 105 balls while

skipper Harun-ur Rashid Liton scored a patient 43

On the other hand. Habibul Bashar Sutnon. the most successful performer among the local batsmen, remained unbeaten on 26. For ADBP. Mohammed Asif with four for 44 in his 10 overs was the pick among the bowlers.

In reply. ADBP rattled up 214/2 in 41.1 overs with their opener Zahoor Elahi scoring an unbeaten century. The former Pakistan international, scored a blazing 133 off 122 balls. Ga-far, the other opener, fell for 21 while two-down Monsur Rana scored an unbeaten 49,

Off-spinner Salahuddin. who captured both the ADBP wickets, gave away 50 runs in his 10 overs.

BCB. the only foreign outfit in the tough domestic tournament in Pakistan, however, had some sort of solace on Saturday when they posted their maiden victory in an exhibition match against Thatta DC Eleven.

According to a faxed massage received here yesterday, BCB. chasing a fighting DC Eleven total of 163 for seven in the stipulated 30 overs, posted the victory 164 for the loss of four wickets and with 13 balls to spare.

Opener Shahrtar Hossain Biddyut scored a swashbuckling 66 not out while Sumon kept up his prolific form with the willow with an unbeaten 61 off only 63 deliveries. After a disastrous start with BCB reeling at 34 for three. t6gether the two guided BCB to victory sharing 127 runs for the undefeated fourth wicket.
