COLOMBO, Mar 2: Doctors and nurses at Srl Lanka's government hospitals are threatening to strike next week to back demands for better pay and to protest against cuts in overtime payments, reports Reuter.

Nurses union head Muruth-thetuwe Ananda was quoted as saying today that its 14,000 members planned to stage an islandwide strike if the government failed to scrap the cuts in overtime payments by March 5.
