A group of students of Lal-matia Women’s College in the city went on the rampage on the campus yesterday damaging window panes and furniture of the College.

Some one hundred students of the college who failed in the test for the Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) to be held in 1997 were allegedly behind the violence. They were demanding that they should be allowed to sit for the HSC exam despite their failure in the test, according to sources. About three hundred students are reported to have failed in the examination.
