''^ABkA^feb I: A.black stone .idol of god Gopal was mysteriously stolen away from the Nr-ishingha Mandir on the night following January 23.

The temple is situated just in the middle of the town that remains busy for 24 hours.

Joyanta Kumar Roy. Acting Secretary, of Nrishingha Mandir Committee told this correspondent that when, in the morning of January 24. he went to open the door of the mondir. he found the lock unlocked. He went Inside and found all other things quite in tact, but the aforesaid idol missing.

The secretary stated that the weight of the idol would be about 8 to 10 kg with its estimated price of nearly Taka 10 lakh.

A case has already been filed with the police, but none has been arrested as yet in this connection.
