Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Humayun Rasheed Chowdhury yesterday laid particular emphasis on learning and developing English language skills in view of the ever-increasing Importance of the language in the present day world, reports BSS.

"The importance of English cannot be denied — it is essential in all fields like promotion of scientific and technological skills on one hand and efficient conduct of international affairs and diplomacy on the other." he said while distributing certificates among participants of an English language courses, organised by the Commonwealth English Language Institute.
