The ninth death anniversary of noted artiest Qamrul Hasan will be observed today. Different socio-cultural organisations have arranged various programmes to commemorate the day.

The discussion will be held at 3:30 pm at the conference room of the Academy. It will be presided over by Dr. Moniruz-zaman

Bangladesh National Museum in collaboration with Artist Quamrul Hasan Heritage Council, has organised a painting competition for children to mark the day. according to apress release.

Ine competition, to be held at 9:30 am at the MUseum premises. Shahbag. is open to children aged between 4 and 7 years, the release added.

It will be followed by a discussion meeting at 11.30 at the Museum auditorium. Rashed Mosharraf, State Minister for Land, will be the chief guest at the discussion and distribute prizes among the winners of the painting competition.

Meanwhile, wreaths will be placed and fateha offered at the artist’s mazar in the morning.
