KHULNA. Dec 31: Khulna Development Authority (KDA) has been developing four residential areas in and around Khulna City Corporation where about 1500 plots of different sizes would be alloted among the people, reports BSS.

KDA sources told BSS today that Mirerdanga Low Cost Housing Project had been completed where 778 plots of three, four and five khatas sizes were being alloted among the people.

Hasanabad and Rupsa Satellite Town Housing Projects have been under process of development where more than four hundred plots will be available for allotment by the

end of the current financial year, the sources said.

KDA has also taken up a project for developing housing plots for injured freedom fighters and shaheed families under the name and style third phase south block at Sonadanga. The development of the housing plots is expected to start soon.

This is for the first time that KDA is going to allot housing □lots among injured freedom lighters and shaheed families.

KDA is also constructing one kilometre Sonadanga-Gomari road at an expenditure of Taka 13.58 crore. Construction work of the road will be completed by June. 1998.

KDA has undertaken expan-

sion of Sonadanga bus terminal at an expenditure of Taka 2.07 crore. Expansion work are to be completed by the end of the current financial year.

KDA is expanding three roads leading to the bank of the Bhairab river from Shiromoni at an expenditure of Taka 3.20 crore.

A plan is on the anvil for construction of a public park on fifteen acres of land at Golla-mari and the total expenditure for construction of the park has been estimated at Taka 15 crore.

KDA has been awaiting government grant for construction of the public park.
