President Justice Sha-habuddin Ahmed has greeted Palestinian President Yasser Arafat on the occasion of the National Day of Palestine to be observed today, reports UNB.

Iq a message to Yasser Arafat, the President said the existing friendly relations between Bangladesh and Palestine will further be strengthened in the years to come.

In a separate message Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina congratulated Palestinian President Yasser Arafat on the same occasion.

In the message to Yasser Arafat, the Prime Minister renewed the support of Bangladesh to the struggle of Palestinian people in realisation of their cherished goal under his wise and able leadership.

"I am confident that the fraternal relations that so happily exist between the two brotherly peoples will further be developed and strengthened in the time ahead," she said.
