It has been reported that. Moulvibazar Bus and Coaster Owners Association was operating bus and coaster service to and from Moulvibazar and FenchuganJ ferry ghat since long Recently, the Roads and Highway Department has started a heavy ferry service on the Kushiyara river at Fenchugan) for the convenience of transportation of the vehicles from and to Moulvibazar and Sylhet. After starting of the ferry service, a dispute has taken place between the Moul-vibazar-FenchuganJ Bus Own-

ers Association and Sylhet -Fenchuganj Bus Owners Association.

Moulvibazar Association has been trying to expand their route towards Sylhet via Fenchuganj thana headquarters ana Sylhet association has been trying to expand the route towards Moulvibazar But both the association are reported to creating obstruction in running vehicles.

Following the dispute, buses and coasters towards Moul vibazar made their last stoppage at Fenchuganj ferry-ghat. These are operated by Sylhet Association of Bus Owners On the other hand, passenger vehi cles towards Sylhet made their last stoppage at the last border of Moulvibazar district which

is one and a half kilo-metre away from Fenchuganj. These vehicles are operated by Moul vibazar Association of Bus Owners

As a result passengers to and from Sylhet and Moulvibazar via Fenchuganj route and compelled to change their vehicles from one stoppage to another by foot. It Is a serious problems to the passengers especially to women and children.

Several rounds of meetings between the said two Associations were held on this matter. But no fruitful result came out from these meetings. Passengers of this route have urged the administrative to take necessary steps with a view to mitigating sufferings of the travelling passengers.
