City Club recorded their first win in the First Division cricket league when they handed Eskaton Sabuj Sangha a seven-wicket defeat at their home ground yesterday.

Chasing a paltry Eskaton total of 124. the winners reached home with the loss of three wickets and almost 16 overs to spare.

Opener Santosh Sutradhar hammered highest 49 off 62 balls Including eight boundaries for the home side while middle orders Simon and Pakistani Abdul Majid were not out on 30 and 15 runs respectively.

Earlier, electing to bat first. Eskaton were all out for 124 in 43 overs with opener Mashukur Rahman scoring highest 27.

Russel was the most success ful City Club bowler with three lor 21 followed by Sohag and I’.Uash who captured two wick eta each _ _
