SHERPUR. Nov 10: Local businessmen today called off their indefinite hartal in the town following discussion with the District Administration, reports UNB.

The businessmen under the banner of Sherpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry enforced the nonstop hartal In the town on Saturday in protest against the deteriorating law and order situation there.

The businessmen withdrew the hartal after the Deputy Commissioner at a meeting on Saturday night assured them of effective measures.
