Leader Of the Opposition in Parliament Begum Khaleda Zia jiesterday cautioned that if the ruling party continued politicising the administration, the country and its people would suffer a lot. reports UNB.

"Country’s economy has already stagnated, and if the present trend of terrorism and politicisation continues, the situation will aggravate." she said.

Begum Zia was addressing some political leaders and workers of Sirajganj who joined the BNP at a function at her Minto Road official residence in the evening.

More than 100 people led by former Jatlya Party MP and Zila Parishad Chairman Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku and former Poura Chairman and district JP leader Maniur Hasan Mahmud Joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.

The BNP chairperson welcomed the newcomers to her party, saying that their joining the BNP would further strengthen nationalist force in the country.
