COLOMBO. Sept 8. Sri Lanka, eager to excel in traditional Test cricket after taking the one-day game by storm, will play two Tests and three one-day internationals in New Zealand early next year, reports AP.

"We are eagerly waiting for the Tests, said Sri Lankan skipper Arjuna Ranatunga who now plans to concentrate on five-day matches.

To accommodate the Sri Lankan, the New Zealand Cricket Association has delayed the final of the Shell Trophy to Easter weekend. The Snell Trophy final will now begin on March 29 instead of March 21 as originally scheduled.

The Test matches between Sri Lanka and New Zealand will be played at Hamilton (March 7-11) and Wellington (March 14-18). The one-day internationals will be held at Auckland (March 22). Christchurch (March 25) and Dunedin (March 27).

The World Cup one-day champions will arrive in New Zealand on Feb 27. Sri Lanka will also play a three-day match against New Zealand "A" in Gisborne and a day-night clash against Central Districts in Nappier.

Sri Lankan cricketers showed a tremendous form by winning a 4-nation cricket tournament in Colombo on Saturday, pri Lanka remained unbeaten against Australia. India and Zimbabwe.
