A high-level seminar on training and internal consul fancy (TIC) programme was held at the Bangladesh Chemi cal Industries Corporation (BCIC) aud'torlum in the city yesterday reports UNB rnaugurating the seminar British High Commissioner Peter Fowler said that a further phase of support should be agreed upon shortly to expand the coverage of the TIC programme partnership with a Bangladeshi training institute

He also stressed the importance of the m^ulufacturing sector to the country’s future growth prospects and the role that would be played by market-based reform as well as the need to upgrade management skills and efficiency

Additional Secretary A K Adhikari of the Ministry of Industries and other senior of ficials of the ministry, chairmen of public sector corporations, representatives of donor agencies and the trainees from the participating enterprises attended the seminar.
