TAUNTON. England. July 6: Mushtaq Ahmed completed a happy return to his adopted English county Somerset ..on Friday by spinning Pakistan to a 105-rltn victory, reports . Reuter.

Leg-spinner Mushtaq mesmerised most of Somerset's batsmen as he captured second-innings figures of five for 72 to give him a match haul of 10 for 108.

Somerset, set 316 to win on the third and final day. were bowler out for 210. only Peter Bowler (52) and Simon Ecclestone (57) ■offering significant resistance.

The result was never in serious doubt and Pakistan's only worries were slight injury problems for opener Aamir Sohail and fast bowler Waqar Younis.

Sohail did not resume his innings of 28 at the start of play because of a hamstring twinge, while Waqar bowled only three overs in Somerset's second innings because of a minor niggle in the back of a •eg

The absence of-Sohail gave Ipzamam ul Haq the chance to blast 51 not out off 42 balls, with four fours and two sixes, as Pakistan declared their sec ond innings on 174 for oue.

Somerset were givery some 'hope by an opening stand of 53 between Bowler and Mark Lathwell (25).

But once Mushtaq made Keith Parsons his first victim, only Ecclestone, who hit two sixes off the Pakistani wrist spinner, Bowler and. to a lesser degree, Jeremy Batty (27) held up the touring team.

Mushtaq will be back with Somerset next season when lie begins a new two-year con tract.
