Tommy Miah. who has earned bis reputation as a Bangladeshi gourmet in UK. has set up Tommy Miah s Crop Production Bursary' to offer cash award each year to a postgraduate student of crop production or tropical seed technology at a British university or school of agriculture.

The bursary can be used for travel and study in Europe or for further research, develop ment or extension work in Bangladesh.

The British Council will nominate students to be considered by the award committee. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will provide two return tickets from Edinburgh or London to Amsterdam so that the bursary holder and a tutor may visit the International Agriculture Centre.
