SHARIATPUR. May 4. A total of 201 posts have been lying vacant for a long time in the district's health department affecting the heath services adversely, reports UNB.

Of them 43 posts, including three consultants, six lunior consultants, one thana health officer, four resident surgeons, one radiologist. three medicine specialists. 24 medical officers and five dental sur geons remained vacant for a pretty long time.

Besides, four second class posts and 139 third class posts including 75 health assistants, thrde assistant health visitors, five treasurers. 10 office assistants. four accountants have also been lying vacant.

Out of the total 155 posts of fourth class employees, some 15 posts including MLSS. security guard, sweeper, aya and cook remained vacant, official sources said.
