A general meeting organ ised by leading sport* organ!* er* and peraonalitie* to rr •tore democracy in local sports was held at the tent ol Young Men* Club. Faklrerpool yesterday with noted sports organiser Zafar Imam in the chair

According to a source, various point* were discussed in the meeting in order to find out the problems prevailing in the sport* arena and to establish a permanent democratic system.

. After a long discussion, the meeting concluded with four unanimous decision* These are

a. A proposal to hold immediate elections In the sports arena will be submitted to the caretaker government soon

b Since all the Initial works to hold elections in different federations have already been completed, therefore. It Is possible to arrange the elections during the tenure of the present government

c If the present govern ment does not take any positive step or give any assurance of elections within seven day* after submission of the proposal. the present officials of different fenerations who were in the meeting yesterday will resign from their posts and encourage other* to resign with them.

d A three-member coordl noting committee was formed with Zafar hnam. Harunur Rashid and Tanveer Haider which on behalf of the meeting will put forward the demands to the interim government.

A total of 33 person* from different club* and federations joined the meeting among which the leading personal! ties other than Those men tioned were: Monirui Haque Chowdhury. Shah Abul Ka shem.
